Sam and his mom Maggie are a bonded pair. Maggie is friendly and comfortable with all of us and with all of the dogs at the shelter. She’s been to two adoption events and welcomed everyone who stopped by to say hi.  Sam is a little anxious but he is happy and confident as long as he’s with Maggie, so they will be adopted as a bonded pair.  Once Sam gets to know you he is friendly and affectionate, and loves walks with the volunteers. He can be skittish, so we’re recommending no children. These two will need a fully fenced yard, but will be content to curl up with you in the house most of the time.

Pet meet and greets are by appointment, so if you’d like to meet these two, call the shelter at 503-861-7387 or stop by the lobby to set up a time. The shelter is open 9:30 to 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday, closed 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch.
