Frank is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of December 5, 2021 and he has quite a fan club at the shelter.

Adopted!

Noelle says, “He’s a sweet, majestic cat waiting patiently to snuggle and has the most amazing toe floofs!” Mitzi adds, “His main request for his new human(s) is for you to be close by to him so he can observe all that you are doing & most importantly receive frequent loves!” And Diane says, “Frank is a perfect gentleman cat who looks similar to a Maine Coon with his lovely medium-length tabby patterned fur.  He seems to have adjusted well to the adoption room in just a few days’ time and is comfortable to be out of his kennel.”

Frank is 12 years old.

Application forms are also available on the front door of the shelter and can be filled out and turned in on the spot. A shelter staff member will review the app and call you to set up an appointment.

Gibby is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of November 21, 2021

Gibby is 14 years young and hoping for a loving home. Diane tells us, “Gibby is an adorable, soft and sweet senior girl with medium length fur who loves to be held and brushed. This lap-cat feels like you are holding a down pillow. She is quiet and mellow and would make a lovely pet.” Gibby is on a special diet

Shasta is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of November 14, 2021

Shasta is looking for a home for the holidays – and beyond. This two-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pharaoh Hound mix is so popular with the volunteers that she gets to go on outings to explore and meet new people and enjoy the occasional Puppuccino. One shelter volunteer says this “smart, athletic girl loves to play: rope tug, fetch, find…you name it. She is an excellent learner and would love agility training. Need a running partner? Shasta has her track shoes on and is ready to go.”

She has passed her cat test! She’ll need a yard with a six-foot fence.

Trooper is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of October 3, 2021

Adopted!

Sue tells us, “Trooper is a stunning 3-year-old Doberman mix. We wonder if there is some Weimaraner in there because of his satiny tawny-amber-umber coloration. His new home will need a fenced yard as he loves to trounce about and play like a rocking horse. He’s learning to walk on leash yet is smart, sophisticated, and thoughtful. The more you hang out with Trooper, the more you realize what a special fellow he is: loyal, a bit opinionated, and eager to please.”

Strong and loving, Trooper is hoping to go home soon!

Brody is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of September 19, 2021

Adopted!
Here’s a “seriously cool dog alert!” from Natalie. “Not only is Brody handsome and super easy to walk, he is also our resident snuggle bug. Sometimes when we are on a stroll together he stops in the middle of the sidewalk hoping I will pet and hug him. Brody is just looking for a lot of love and affection. Aren’t we all?”
