Tundra is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of May 30, 2021

Adopted! Tundra is a six month old bundle of love. He was very timid when he first came in, but within a few days he decided we’re all best friend and snuggle buddy candidates. Tundra enjoys sampling the toys in the play yard and trying to crawl into our laps when we take a break from running him around. This pit mix knows “sit” and we’re working on “down.”  He’s treat-oriented and wants to please, so training should be easy. Note that he will need a fully fenced yard.

Pet meet and greets are by appointment only, so if you’d like to meet Tundra, submit an application in advance by going to the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page at https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the application. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to ac@co.clatsop.or.us or deliver it directly to the shelter. Application forms are also available on the front door of the shelter and can be filled out and turned in on the spot. A shelter staff member will review the app and call you to set up an appointment. Due to Covid restrictions, only two people are allowed in the shelter at one time and each visitor is asked several health-related questions before being allowed in.

Arly is a 7 year old male tabby cat. He`s still adjusting to shelter life and would probably do best as the only pet. He`s not picky about food!

Alaska is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of May 2, 2021

Adopted! Hi, I’m Alaska, and I want to tell you a little bit about myself. First of all and most importantly – I’m a very happy girl. My favorite activities are going on long walks (I’m always ready to go) and playing with the volunteers in the play yard. I could stay and play all day! I like everyone I meet and love to show my affection. I’m also fond of car rides and am excellent in the car.

I’ve been at the shelter for so long (too long). I’m hoping someone sees this and tells their friends about me because I need just the right family. I will need medication and special food costing about $400.00 per month for the rest of my life. But otherwise I’m a young, smart, energetic girl with many years of love to give. I can’t wait to meet you!

Pet meet and greets are by appointment only, so if you’d like to meet Alaska, call the shelter at 503-861-7387 to set up an appointment. The shelter is open 11:00 to 4:00

Tuesday through Saturday. You can also fill out an application at the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page: https://www.co.clatsop.or.us/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet

Gidget is a 7.5 year old tuxedo cat with a truly gentle soul and we can’t believe she’s still up for adoption!
Noelle tells us…”Gidget is a sweet, soft, and small cat with good looks to boot. She’d love a nice mellow home to relax in and gaze at you with her pretty eyes and irresistible face every day.”
Gidget is on special diet.

Dottie and Ollie are our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of April 11, 2021

Adopted! Although these two didn’t know each other before they came to the shelter, they have been inseparable ever since Dollie decided to join Ollie in his kennel.

Diane tells us, “Our recently bonded cat couple, orange tabby Ollie and dilute tortie Dottie (or Otty and Dolly when memory fails) are still preferring to stay under covers.  The cat adoption room is too busy with many cats and humans coming and going all day, but they are allowed to roam freely in the room at night when they feel safe.  They found each other after arriving in adoption and have continued as a loving pair ever since, finding comfort in each other.  They are both very sweet and Dottie especially likes petting and under-chin scratching.  In a peaceful home after becoming settled, they will most likely relax and enjoy life.”
