Benny is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, and CLASSIC HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of June 1, 2025

Adopted

Benny is a social boy, ready to make friends with everyone – but will need slow introductions for other cats or might thrive being the king of his own castle. At just about 1 1/2 years old, Benny is ready to start living his best life with some true companions. He has purr-sonality for days, loves cuddles and head rubs, and lots of love to share.

You can also fill out an application here: https://www.clatsopcounty.gov/media/16441 or by going to the shelter’s Adopting a Pet page at https://www.clatsopcounty.gov/animalcontrol/page/adopting-pet for more information on adoption requirements and then filling out the form at the bottom of the page. Romeo is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, and CLASSIC HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of May 25, 2025

Romeo is saving this rose for his one true love! 137 Days is how long he has been waiting.

Romeo came in as a stray, so we don’t know his history, but he is a sweet, affectionate guy that is working on his leash skills. He regularly joins our playgroup and while he isn’t super playful, he gets along well with other dogs. (No cats though) He also attended Lupulin Ecstasy Festival at Fort George Brewery and did amazingly!

If you are looking for this Romeo story to have a happy ending, schedule an appointment to meet him today!

Rusty is an adorable ginger boy. At 14 years old, he’s ready to meet his new someone special. Rusty came to the shelter after his original human sadly passed away. He’s been living the good life in a foster home where he spends time with adult humans and a resident cat and dog.

Shadow is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of May 11 2025

Hello Everyone. My name is Shadow, and I am a 2-year-old Catahoula leopard mix. My story didn’t start out in the best way. I was abandoned on Highway 6 in Tillamook tied up to a footbridge, underweight, and scared. The Tillamook K9 rescue took me in. They worked with me through some of my quirks in training, and I have come such a long way. I was at the Tillamook K9 rescue for over a year and I am now beginning my next big adventure in Clatsop County!

Shadow is a great dog. He has not met a person he doesn’t like, and has a very happy, goofy disposition. Shadow is currently dog reactive, so he will need to be the only K9 in the home. Shadow is neutered and is up to date on all his shots. Schedule an appointment to meet Shadow today!

Sookie is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, WARRENTON KIA, and HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of May 4, 2025

Sookie is an outgoing white and tabby girl with a soft short coat and some impressive whiskers. Sookie was found as a stray so we don’t know much about her life before she came to the shelter, but we do know that she’s friendly and loves hanging out with people. She jumps up to be held and might even be one of those `shoulder surfer` kitties. She’s been chatty and has been winning hearts every day. If you’ve been looking for a new best friend, come meet Sookie today!
