JESSE is our KMUN, The Astorian, 949 The Bridge, Classic Hits 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for February 23rd 2026

Jesse is a cat with a short orange and white coat, a pink nose, and gorgeous amber eyes. He’s loving and cuddly, but it`s been a bit of an adjustment for him at the shelter. He’d love a quiet home of his own to relax in. We know that Jesse has lived with other cats before, and that the shelter has been a lot to adjust to for him. He’s starting to relax, but we know he`d like his very own space with his own family to love. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and is ready to meet you today!

https://clatsopcounty.animalshelternet.com/adoption_animal_details.cfm?AnimalUID=350499

Pet meet and greets are by appointment, so if you’d like to meet Jesse, call the shelter at 503-861-7387 or stop by the lobby to set up a time. The shelter is open 9:30 to 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday, closed 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch. You can also fill out an application here: https://www.clatsopcounty.gov/media/16441. Be sure to date it next to the signature line (applications are reviewed in the order they are received) and put the name of the animal you are interested in at the top. You can then save the application to your computer and email it to adopt@ClatsopCounty.gov or print it and deliver it directly to the shelter.

Eva AND Percy are our KMUN, The Astorian, Classic Hits 94.3 KRKZ, 949 The Bridge Pets of The Week for February 9th 2026

Adopted!

Percy and Eva, a brother-sister bonded pair of short-haired brown tabbies, were first adopted from the shelter as kittens after staying in one of our wonderful foster homes. They were adopted together into a very loving home with a human who recently and unexpectedly passed away. They’ve been through a lot, and we are looking forward to helping them find their next loving home together. These two tabbies are laid back – they love snuggles, head rubs, cozy spots, and are just the perfect pair. At 2-years-old, they are the perfect age for calm energy – they still love play time but also love relaxing and they are both brave and relaxed. They’d do great in just about any kind of home as long as it’s filled with lots of love and they can be together. Please consider these two as your next BFFs – they are a bonded pair, so the two-for-one adoption fee gets you twice the love.

They can be found snuggling together at Riverdog, where they are staying in the upstairs catio while they wait for the second chance at love. Please stop by to visit them during Riverdog’s open hours (Mon – Sat, 10-6, Sun 10-4) and get ready to fall in love two times over!

Punkin is our KMUN, The Astorian, 949 The Bridge, and Classic Hits 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of February 1, 2026

If you’re looking for a shadow, who wants to follow you everywhere, Punkin’s your girl! She loves walks, squeeky toys and snuggles on the couch. Punkin is dog selective so will need to meet any dogs in the home. She gets the wiggles when she’s excited so probably no children under 5. Someone who is home more than not would be ideal as she doesn’t like to be away from her people for too long. Call the shelter to schedule an appointment to meet her!

https://clatsopcounty.animalshelternet.com/adoption_animal_details.cfm?AnimalUID=337877

Pet meet and greets are by appointment, so if you’d like to meet Punkin, call the shelter at 503-861-7387 or stop by the lobby to set up a time. The shelter is open 9:30 to 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday, closed 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch. You can also fill out an application here: https://www.clatsopcounty.gov/media/16441. Adoption Fees:
Dogs: $125 for dogs younger than ten years and $60 for dogs ten or older.
Cats: $90 for cats younger than ten years; $30 for cats ten years or older.
Bonded pair (emotional attachment to each other) are available for the single price

Kashi is our KMUN, The Astorian, 949 The Bridge, and Classic Hits 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of January 18, 2026

Kashi came to us with her 10 puppies and while she was a great mom, she is happy those days are behind her. She recently spent time in a foster home and was a perfect house guest. She is learning to walk with a gentle leader because she can be excited when she sees dogs but walks well on a leash otherwise. If you have room in your home and heart for a very sweet girl, call the shelter to schedule an appointment to meet her!
