Dillon is our KMUN, The Astorian, 949 The Bridge, and Classic Hits 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of August 3, 2026

Dillon is a happy, well-mannered boy who is ready to find his forever family! He patiently sits and waits while he’s getting leashed up to head outside. Dillon is a fantastic walking companion. He walks great on leash and doesn’t pull. He’s truly a gentleman and an absolute sweetheart.
Dillon has quickly become a favorite among our shelter volunteers, and it’s easy to see why! This good boy would make an amazing companion for one very lucky person or family.

Archer is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, and CLASSIC HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of July 20, 2026

If you’re looking for a dog who’s always up for an adventure, Archer is your guy! 💙

At 2 years old, Archer is a sweet, goofy boy with a big heart. Shelter life gets him excited, but once he’s out on a walk, he settles into a wonderful companion. He’s eager to please, knows sit and down, is potty trained, takes treats gently, and loves to learn.

Archer is a playgroup regular who does well with other dogs and would love an active home with another playful pup. Because of his energy, he’d do best with kids over 10 and a family ready for hikes, playtime, and making memories together.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will keep you smiling, come meet Archer today! 🐶❤️

Ruthie is our KMUN, THE ASTORIAN, 94.9 THE BRIDGE, and CLASSIC HITS 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of July 6, 2026

Adopted!

❤️ Ruthie is your big‑hearted best friend ❤️ She is a 2½‑year‑old, 75‑lb Saint Bernard mix with a gift for giving the world’s biggest, most heartfelt hugs. Fostered by Astoria Dispatch, she’s finally learning what love feels like and she’s blooming because of it. This sweet girl adores people. Truly. There isn’t a person she doesn’t greet with warmth, curiosity, and that signature Ruthie smile. She knows sit, shake, and lie down, and she’s wonderfully gentle with kids; she lights up the moment they walk in.

Ruthie will likely shine brightest as someone’s one‑and‑only, but depending on the other pet, she might be able to share the spotlight. A meet‑and‑greet is the perfect way to see how the chemistry feels. Full of personality, affection, and goofy charm, Ruthie is one of those dogs who makes you feel like life just got better.

DeeDee is our KMUN, The Astorian, 949 The Bridge, and Classic Hits 94.3 KRKZ Pet of the Week for the week of June 29, 2026

Why would we feature her again? Because she is still patiently waiting to meet her very own family. She’s blossomed in a loving foster home and is more than ready to find her very own space. Someone deserves to know the joy of having DeeDee fall asleep on their lap after tiring herself out chasing a moth. Or to walk into a room and see her happily looking out a window. DeeDee is a true gem who is looking for a gentle home filled with love. In return, she’ll fill that home with even more love and joy. DeeDee would do best in a calm home and as the only feline friend. She has been friendly with small dogs in a former foster home, but will want to be given time and space to adjust to her new family. Call the shelter to set up an appointment to meet her in her foster home if she sounds like she might be the match you’ve been waiting for!
